THE EMULATION OF CHRIST

A few parallels are often noted between the way Hitler and the Reich presented itself to the German People and the way of the Christian Church. Many make the very false assumption, that the Reich was Christian, because of the parallel. Two lines running parallel though, and an essential thing and its parody are indeed different and even opposite, though appearing the same. Further confusion arises because many German Officers and Nazi Party Members were practicing Catholics or Lutheran (German Christian) and considered nothing of the serious discrepancies between the Gospel and the Beliefs of the Nazis. As if this was not confusing enough, the Nazis often used Christian terminology which a lukewarm Christian Church readily identified as their own. Christian Doctrine was reinterpreted in light of Nazi ideology. The Old Testament was a thing to be done away with: Christian Theology in the Liberal German Seminaries promoted this concept.

CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE	THIRD REICH EMULATION
SALVATION Salvation is the doctrine of man's healing back to God by the blood atonement for sin of Jesus on the Cross, the Sacrifical Lamb of God. In Jesus' act of surrender in his incarnate nature, He took the sins of the world upon himself, doing away with the curse of sin for all time, received by those who will believe. The Holy Spirit comes to indwell the believer upon redemption, and the believer partakes in the divine nature [as a creation of God, not 'as' God]	BECOMING ONE WITH THE REICH (VOLK) The great aim of the Reich was to achieve a utopian, atlantean (thulian) status by healing the German people back to the Volk, the collective conscience/culture/soul of the Aryan race. This was to be done by the exalting of the Leader (Fuhrer) but not at the expense of his sacrifice. It was also central to racial doctrine and policy as the accomplishment of this 'healing' and entry into the fullness of a master race and society would come as 'lower' races were cleansed from European bloodlines. Note that blood figures prominently only in a perverse way.

MILLENIAL REIGN OF CHRIST In basic Christian Doctrine, Jesus , the Messiah is expected back at Armaggedon, where in victory He begins a 1000 year reign of peace and prosperity and the rule of God, where the wolf and lamb lie down together, the Messiah rules with a benevolent, but iron rule and in which the saints who have died as martyrs reign with him and under Him. Evangelical, fundamental Christians see it coming at the end of time literally as taught in Scripture, although others argue it is figurative representing a 'Church Age' or a few that it is past, and followed Christ's advent. The last two positions present diversions from scripture.	REIGN OF THE FUHRER IN THE 3RD MILLENIUM: RULE OF A SUPER RACEThe whole concept of a 'Third' Reich had to do with a 3rd 1000 years over which Hitler as Fuhrer or lord was destined to reign, bringing in a 'Thulian' era, a restoration of a perfect utopian people and place, and also coordinating the nations of the world under his rule.
THE WORD OF GOD The Word of God to believing Christians is seen as infallible, pure, everlasting and as having final authority. It notes itself as being complete, perfect, refined,[Ps 19] and in Timothy as totally sufficient for doctrine, reproof and teaching. The Word of God has power and life and Jesus is declared the Word incarnate.	THE WORD OF THE FUHRER"the words of the Fuhrer have the weight of Law" was a popular slogan in WWII Germany: Hitler's centrality as a Messianic figure made him infallible in final decisions sitting at the top of the principle, 'fuhrerprinzip' where full responsibility and culpability ended, and disappeared. Ley, Goebbels and others refer constantly to the words of the Fuhrer or his absolute say in Germany. Mein Kampf in which his concept of the German struggle is laid down was memorized in the same way our Bible is.
CHRIST AS MESSIAHThe dividing point between Jewish and Christian doctrine is not that of Messiah, but whether Jesus, Yshua was the Messiah. Christians look for Messiah to return, Jews for Him to arrive for the first time. Both see Him as King of Israel set for the deliverance of Israel. He is a 'high-priest King' returning and arriving at the end of time: set for the defense of Israel. Christians believe in His atoning blood bought salvation and deliverance on the Cross at Golgotha, and a three day resurrection. He is the King and Sovereign over the 1000 year reign, the Millenium.	FUHRER AS MESSIANIC FIGURE Few would question that Hitler was 'propped' as a Messianic Leader of Germany-he was promoted as the one who would lead Germany into restoration, an Aryan utopia and the third thousand years, or Reich. His words were seen as final and deified: Ley and Goebbels both admonish Germans to have faith in Hitler. The Messiah Jesus was redefined in the DC as an Aryan perfection, a Master, but not as Savior, a role promulgated as Hitler's. True to the metaphor, in time Hitler took on messianic delusions, believing himself and Germany infallible and undefeatable, in the end making destructive decisions based on this illusion.
IKKLESIA CONCEPT OF THE CHURCH In Christian teaching the Church is not the four walls it meets it, but 'Ikklesia', or Church refers to an assembly with Christ as the head, and living through its members knit together for the benefit of all. Worship is a congregate thing and Christians are taught not to forsake the assembling...the church in this most perfect sense is 'body of Christ' and members are added as though limbs or part of a body, according to the will of God.	THE VOLK The Volk was also the entire mystic 'assembly' of the German people, its ancestors, heritage, folklore, music, religions, bloodlines and culture, tied to the German land (see Blood And Soil) Even closer to the concept is the "Thing" [not in the sense we use it], or a gathering or assembly called to one place for one purpose, but denoting a spiritual entity. Thus, a 'thingplatz' was where the group gathered.
SYMBOLS & Rites: BAPTISM In the Christian faith, while the method of Baptism and age of 'accountability' are questioned, the event is seen as important. Coming from the word, 'baptizo' in Greek it means 'an overwhelming' and while there are both, when scriptures are compared, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is mentioned far more often than the baptism of water, although water baptism is the outward symbol and 'enactment' of the former. While some sects and denominations believe in 'baby baptism' or pedobaptism, most believe in the accepting of the act of baptism following or at the time of receiving salvation. To the latter, babies before an age of accountability can only be dedicated. MARRIAGE VOWS Marriage Vows in Christian teaching are sacred and stem from scriptural passages in old and new Testaments. The vows which are usually based on scripture or actual readings are a statement of a committment to a lifelong monogamous relationship of love and life, reflecting Christ's love for His Church.
