of European Jewry and had been a collaborator and advisor of Eichmann and

measures."
The Muslims and the NazisThe enemy of my enemy is my friend...Old Arab Proverb Could one possibly imagine a tie between the Modern
day "Al-Queda" terrorist group, responsible for the '911' bombing incident
and the Nazis? It seems like an extreme stretch, but the truth is, the
connection has been clearly defined for the last 80 or 90 years! The
intrigue starts at the Balfour treaty and continues through WWII and the
establishment of the State of Israel.
Recently, I received a letter, incensed that I had made in an editorial
a connection between the Muslims and the Nazis. The writer, from a
formidable and well-known University had assured me that the holocaust was
an unfortunate incident but that the Arabs and Arab-Muslims had nothing to
do with it. Most people do not know of the connection between the Arabs of Palestine and
the Nazis, but it was real, was strong, and it continued in a post-war network which has
subsequently spread worldwide, and gave roots to much of the terrorism we see now.
The Mufti, in WWII, was the Muslim political/religious leader of the Moslems in Palestine.
He sought alliances with the administration of Hitler and the Third Reich, primarily
because they had similar goals: neither wanted the Jews in their living space: the Mufti
and Muslims in Palestine had fought hard against Jewish immigration Hitler and Berlin corresponded frequently with the Mufti of Jerusalem during WWII, and met with him personally also, so the tie cannot be ignored: it was not peripheral as some have suggested. (See Jewish Virtual Library: Muslim Brotherhood) Correspondence and alliances with Hitler began early in the 30's as the Reich sought allies against Britain, the Communists and the Jews:
Al-Banna was a devout admirer of a young Austrian writer named Adolf Hitler. His letters to Hitler were so supportive that when Hitler came to power in the 1930s he had Nazi intelligence make contact with Al-Banna to see if they could work together. Hitler had Al-banna establish a spy network for Nazi Germany throughout Arabia. Al-Banna promised Hitler that when General Rommel’s Nazi tank division arrived in Cairo and Alexandria, the Muslim Brotherhood would ensure all of the British troops would be killed. The Muslims aided in the formation of a muslim division of the waffen-SS as well. (See Photographs of Muslim-SS troops and Photos of Muslim SS.)
Are there Still Muslim-NeoNazi Ties? The ties between Muslims and Nazis were clear in the WWII era as they each shared a goal: the extermination and displacement of the Jews. After the war, as can be seen from the timeline at the side, the occupation of Israel and the Palestinian area was governed by the French, the US and allies and Britain and the land was legally turned over in 1948 to the Jews. The Modern wars of Israel with her unhappy neighbors are well documented. In the last 10 years though, Anti-semitism has grown at an alarming rate in the US and Europe as incidents of defacing synagogues, violence against Jews and other acts reminiscent of the Third Reich resurface. Martin Lee writing for the Southern Poverty Law Center notes the following in reference to the September 11th WTC attack:
An official of America's premier neo-Nazi group, the National Alliance, said he wished his own members had "half as much testicular fortitude." The awestruck leader of another U.S. Nazi group called the terrorists "VERY BRAVE PEOPLE." Neo-fascist youth in France celebrated the event that evening with champagne at the headquarters of the extreme right Front National. German neo-Nazis, some wearing checkered Palestinian headscarves, rejoiced at street demonstrations while burning an American flag. Jan Kopal, head of the Czech National Social Block, declared at a rally in Prague that bin Laden was "an example for our children." Horst Mahler, a former left-wing terrorist and prominent member of the neo-Nazi National Democratic Party (NPD) in Germany, proclaimed his solidarity with the terrorists and said America had gotten what it deserved. 1
If nothing else it is clear that the same sentiments and goals have prevailed over the
years: while not always working hand in hand, it is clear

Timeline of Israel and 'Palestine'"The Mandatory shall be responsible for placing the country under such political, administrative and economic conditions as will secure the establishment of the Jewish national home, as laid down in the preamble, and the development of self-governing institutions, and also for safeguarding the civil and religious rights of all the inhabitants of Palestine, irrespective of race and religion. Article 2
1938 in Europe was the year of Krystallnacht and the beginning of massive, visible deportations of the Jews especially in Poland where 3.5 million Jews lived. Israel was a mix of political activity, further establishments of kibbutzim and Palestinian oppositions to build up, while the British struggled in their control over the ill-defined state. Twenty Jews were massacred at Tiberias; The Arabs occupied Bethlehem; and British troops took overthe old sector of Jerusalem. While it is not generally known, the Nazis also conducted espionage activities in the area. Muchearlier, Eichmann went to Israel posing as a reporter Immigration of Jews to Israel, legal and illegal at all time low.
